BOREALIS PICNIC BY SNOWSHOES
We start from your hotel and drive to the forest away from the distracting city lights. When the sky is clear and luck is on our side we do a short hike with snowshoes under the flaming Auroras and make up a fire on a spot where the sky is open. And even if the sky is cloudy and we don’t spot any Auroras, we get so much! The dark and tranquil nature is such a thrilling experience and we learn a lot from our experienced guide. Around the fire we hear many stories about Aurora Borealis, both believes and facts while the guide prepares delicious evening snacks with pure Lappish flavors.
With a rested mind we head back to the city – hopefully under the flaming Northern Lights.

Visit reindeer farm and learn how to drive reinreindeer sledge, get international reindeer driving licence.
Listen Lappish legends and enjoy warm drinks in teepee.

HUSKY PROGRAMS
Visit the home of the wonderful sled dogs and have a good go with them! Learn the truth about snow dogs on the real operating
husky farm and have a dog sled ride or longer safari deeper in the forest. Coffee and sweet hot berry juice spiced with lots of talk
about huskies and sled dog races are served in warm teepee after the trip.

The world's northernmost wildlife Park Ranua is an exciting experience.
You can see polar bear and other arctic and northern animals in natural surroundings.

SAMPO ICEBREAKER CRUISE
The Sampo, the world's only tourist icebreaker, operates on the northern Gulf of Bothnia out of Kemi in Finnish Lapland.
During the cruise you can also enjoy service facilities like Captain´s Saloon, Icebreaker Bar, Arctic Restaurant and Lapponia Shop for souvenirs.
On the open sea we stop the ship and move onto the ice.
The bolder amongst us can try ice swimming in the black water dressed in a water-tight thermal suit-extraordinary to look at, but completely safe! Lunch is served on board.
